It’s no secret that fostering our community through acts of service is a core value of Hammersmith Support! We believe in giving back in many ways and that doing so is essential to who we are as a company. Whether it’s donating services to our pro bono clients, delivering donations to local nonprofits, or highlighting the good works of organizations doing amazing things, we always want to be doing good in our community! In 2020, our team and our colleagues organized welcome baskets full of toiletries and essentials for the deserving families of UMOM New Day Centers. This year we chose to give back in a couple of ways and we’re excited to share with you in the hopes that our good deeds will inspire more in our community.
Save the Family
Save the Family is a local Phoenix organization whose mission is to “[equip] families to address poverty, overcome homelessness, and achieve self-sufficiency.” The organization works to achieve these goals by providing housing, sponsoring youth programs, educational programs, career services, veterans services, and domestic violence services. Save the Family feeds over 250 people for Thanksgiving. Our team compiled two dinner “baskets” with supplies to feed families this Thanksgiving.
Feed My Starving Children
Our team was honored to volunteer our time with Feed My Starving Children! Volunteers hand-pack nutritious MannaPack® meals specifically designed to assist in reversing and preventing undernutrition in over 100 different countries around the world. Not only our team but also Nathan Joseph of Response Creative were in attendance. In just under two hours, we were able to pack 108 boxes of food that will provide 63 children with 23,328 meals—enough for a whole year!
UMOM Stockings
You may have read about UMOM in our post highlighting some of the amazing holiday projects of several local charities. We couldn’t help but get involved again this year! Our team assembled and donated six stockings full of gifts and goodies for some very deserving girls and boys. All of the recipients are between the ages of 10-13, the same ages as some of the team’s children, which made it even more special for us.
Pro Bono Clients
We believe it’s important not just to give back during the holidays, but all year long as well. We are proud to provide pro bono website maintenance services to Phoenix Center for the Arts and #LoveUp Foundation. In addition, we believe fostering small businesses is vital to our community, which is why Hammersmith Support is a member of the Tempe Chamber of Commerce.
