At Hammersmith Support, we believe in growing with intention—expanding our team while staying true to our commitment to personal, client-focused service. Our strength lies in the unique stories, skills, and perspectives each team member brings, and our newest addition is no exception. We’re thrilled to welcome Catherine Anderson as our new Client Success Manager.
Catherine’s path to Hammersmith is marked by creativity, resilience, and a passion for helping businesses succeed. From her Tennessee roots to launching her own handmade accessories brand to discovering a love for web design, she’s worn many hats that give her a rare perspective on both entrepreneurship and client care.
In this interview, Catherine shares how her background led her to Hammersmith, why she felt instantly connected to our values, and how she blends technical know-how with genuine relationship building to ensure every client feels supported. Plus, you’ll get a glimpse into her favorite playlist (hello, ’90s nostalgia!) and what role she thinks she’d play in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.
Let’s start at the beginning—what’s your story? How did your background lead you to where you are today?
“My journey to client success is a story of transitions, all rooted in Tennessee. I grew up outside of Memphis, then moved to Knoxville (where I graduated with a marketing degree from the University of Tennessee), and eventually settled in Nashville. After seven years in corporate, I started my own handmade accessories company, cat o’neal. Running that business for 10 years gave me hands-on experience in e-commerce, which led to a new passion: web design. I fell in love with designing Shopify websites and realized my unique advantage was having been on both sides of the table, as a business owner (who worked with customers every day) and a web designer. This dual perspective makes me unique as it comes from a perfect blend of technical expertise and a human touch, and that’s what ultimately led me to this role.“
What drew you to Hammersmith Support, and what made you say, “Yes, this is the place for me”?
“During my time running my handmade accessories company, I connected with some amazing female business owners in Nashville by attending networking events with TN Women Connect. It was a valuable community, and it’s where I first came across the podcast ‘Beyond the Handshake,’ which is hosted by the founder of TN Women Connect, Lucy Miller. Naturally, I was excited to listen when the owner of Hammersmith Support, Heather, was a guest. I had recently put my web design business on hold and was looking for a new opportunity. As I listened to the podcast, I was impressed by Heather’s values and her passion for building lasting client relationships and fostering a positive team culture. At the end of the episode, she mentioned that she was looking for a Client Success Manager, and I knew right away that this was the opportunity I had been waiting for! “
Hammersmith Support is all about building lasting client relationships—how do you personally blend your tech know-how with that human touch?
“I believe success at Hammersmith means our clients feel like a true partner in their business and are happy with the website results they receive. I help achieve this through proactive communication and setting clear expectations with any request from my clients. My experience on the technical side gives me a unique understanding, allowing me to anticipate needs and streamline processes for a smooth client journey. By blending my technical expertise with a people-first approach, I can truly listen to clients, work with them to solve issues, and build strong, lasting relationships.”
On a lighter note, what’s currently on repeat in your playlist? (Bonus points if it’s a guilty pleasure!)
“Growing up in the ’90s, that decade’s music has always been my favorite by far. Road trips are not complete without a playlist full of 90s hits. I truly love it all: pop, country, rap, and rock. But if I had to pick one current song on repeat right now, it would be “Sorry I’m Here for Someone Else” by Benson Boone. It’s just so catchy, and that twist at the end is just perfect! I will listen to it “again and again and again and again!”
Just for fun—if the zombie apocalypse started tomorrow, what role would you play in the survival team, and how long do you think you’d last?

“I asked my husband, Scott, to help me with this one, and he said he’s honestly scared that I would follow all of the rules of the old world and not be able to escape the zombies. He’s probably right; I am a total rule-follower!But I’ve got a secret weapon: we watched a ton of The Walking Dead back in the day, so I’m confident I have enough of their survival tricks stored away to last at least a little while. I’d play the role of the organized, detail-oriented planner. I’d be the person who keeps track of supplies, makes sure we have a clear communication plan, and maps out our escape routes.“
“Catherine embodies everything we look for at Hammersmith Support – that rare combination of technical expertise and genuine care for client relationships. Her entrepreneurial background gives her a unique perspective on what our clients truly need, and her attention to detail ensures nothing falls through the cracks. What excites me most is how naturally she connects with our values of transparency and building lasting partnerships. She’s exactly the kind of person who helps us maintain that 95% client retention rate we’re so proud of.” – Heather Locke, Hammersmith Support Founder
