After a detailed search through many deserving nonprofit applicants, we are thrilled to have chosen the two organizations that will be our nonprofit pro bono website maintenance clients for the next year. Without further ado, we are thrilled to introduce you to Waves, Inc. in Franklin, Tennessee, and ACCEL in Phoenix, Arizona!
Waves, Inc., Franklin, Tennessee
Determined to “make waves” on behalf of the individuals they wanted to serve, a group of motivated individuals identified programs and services needed for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their community, and thus Waves, Inc. was born. Since its founding in 1973, Waves has offered a broad range of services and support to over 700 children and adults each year through the programs below.
- Early Learning Program – provides play-based early learning, developmental assessment, and treatment protocols for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
- Adult Day Services—both Center-Based Day Program in Fairview and Franklin and a Community Transitions Program in Franklin—serve more than 50 individuals every weekday.
- Adult Residential Program – operates eight homes and four apartments in Fairview and Franklin and currently provides around-the-clock support and services for 27 individuals.

- Employment Program – includes vocational training, job placement, and job follow-along and support.
ACCEL, Phoenix, Arizona
ACCEL’s mission is to provide exceptional educational, behavioral, therapeutic, and vocational programs to individuals with special needs and developmental disabilities, to give them the necessary skills to learn, to work, and to live successfully with dignity and independence.
Founded in 1980, ACCEL has been providing comprehensive instructional programming for children and adults who have developmental disabilities. ACCEL is a nonprofit organization and the only private special education school in Arizona nationally accredited by the National Commission for the Accreditation of Special Education Services (NCASES).
- The Bista Program – provides services for children 18 months to 13-years-of-age through evidence base Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and social groups.
- K–12 Education – provides exceptional educational, behavioral, therapeutic, and vocational programs for individuals with special needs ages 5 to 22.
- Adult Day Center – provides lifelong educational and vocational training to individuals over 18 years of age with developmental disabilities.

Over the course of the year, these nonprofits will benefit from our maintenance package which includes the following:
- Site backups and live staging copy maintained
- Security scans and malware prevention
- Site optimization
- Full site test each month
- Submission to Google Search Console
- 24 hours of development to get your site spruced up — content updates, update images, wording, service packages, About Us pages, add or update donation forms, etc. This time can also be used to add additional features to your site!
